Restaurant Sign Timeline Planner
Enter the day signs are due and an allowance for each stage, and the Table Number Co planner gives every stage a start date. A restaurant uses those dates to see when the floor plan must be final, when the menu page must be live and when staff names must be known. The planner describes a schedule and reserves nothing.
Build your plan
Work backwards from arrival using your entered stage durations. Weekends are skipped; holidays and closures require extra allowance. Dates describe a plan, not reserved production capacity.
The decision behind a dining-room sign order
Count the layout you will actually operate, including terrace tables and movable stations. A table number, menu QR sign and reserved marker may share a style but serve different actions. If two messages occupy opposite faces of one piece, count the physical piece once and specify both artwork faces.
Keep with your brief: Table range, faces per sign, approved destination link and cleaning conditions.

Begin proof review = required arrival minus all entered stage allowances, counting weekdays only
Use the first date as a prompt to have a complete brief and an available approver. It is not a reason to start irreversible work with missing measurements. If the dates are impractical, discuss a simpler format, a different presentation plan or revised timing before authorizing the order.
What does the timeline tell a restaurant before opening?
An owner in the middle of a build-out wants to know when sign decisions fall due. She enters the due date and the stage figures from her written quote. The planner returns four dates, and the earliest is the start of proof review. On that date she needs a final table sequence and a working menu link, because Custom Table Number Signs and the QR Code Menu Sign depend on them. Staff names are another matter. Hiring will not be finished by then. So she plans two orders with Table Number Co: tables and menu signs now, and badges in a second run once the team is confirmed.
Check these details before using the result
- Proofing before the seating plan is final
- A table added by the designer after approval means a missing number. Lock the seating plan before the proof review date.
- A menu link that is not live
- The code on the proof must open a real page. Publish the address before the review starts, even with a draft menu.
- Treating planner dates as a reservation
- The plan is yours alone until a written quote names the production start. Send the dates with your request.

Restaurant Table Number Set
Choose the function of each sign before ordering a matching set. A table number must be visible to staff, while a menu QR code needs a guest-facing position and a working destination you control.

Custom Table Number Signs
Check the numbers at the distance staff will read them, especially easily confused pairs such as 6 and 9. Choose a stable display format and list the exact sequence, including any intentionally skipped table numbers.

QR Code Menu Sign
Use a web address you control so menu updates do not require new signs. Test the supplied code at its proposed printed size on several phones, and include a readable alternative address where the layout allows.

Reserved Table Sign
Decide whether staff need a reusable reserved sign or one personalized for a special event. A fixed engraved guest name suits a keepsake; a changeable area is more practical for everyday reservations.

Staff Nameplate & Badge
Confirm preferred display names and choose whether roles need to be replaceable. For wearable badges, specify the attachment and uniform use; a counter nameplate requires a different format from a badge worn during service.

How does the timeline planner differ from the restaurant arrival estimator?
The inputs are the same. The arrival estimator gives one answer, the latest ship date. The timeline planner lays out every stage with its start. That helps when several people each owe something: the designer a floor plan, the chef a menu page, the manager a staff list.
Which production figure belongs in the planner for table signs?
Take it from your written quote. Table sign production takes no more than 7 days, and the quote names the day it starts. Enter transit separately, using the figure for your address. If badges will follow in a second order, run the planner again for that order with its own due date.
Which buying guide should you read next?
All buying guidesChoose a Table Number Co host-stand sign by where guests first look and how the display will be supported. For worldwide orders, specify a countertop base, separate floor stand or wall mounting before choosing the face material. A sign face alone does not establish the footprint, height or hardware of the finished display.
Use the active table list for number signs and simultaneous use for reserved markers. Keep exact replacement numbers and two-sided objects clear in the count.
A table sign maker's guide to numbering restaurant tables: four systems compared, point-of-view counting, POS naming limits from vendor documentation, combined and seasonal tables, numeral height by reading distance and a numbering worksheet, ending in a 32-table worked example.
Build the order around what each sign asks a guest or staff member to do. Count table numbers, menu links, reservation markers and permanent identity signs separately. Approve the destination of every QR code and the language version used at each venue.
